Our StoryThe humble beginnings of Mr. Ng Tuck Ming, the founder of BENNS, can be traced back to his Singapore stint at the first chocolate factory in Southeast Asia, the Allied Chocolate Factory (Van Houten).
From his fueled passion gained from experiences at Van Houten and sensing the right timing to grab the opportunity, Mr. Tuck Ming has built his own manufacturing plant.
The game-changing decision has paved the way for BENNS to gradually gain local acceptance and begin moving beyond Singapore.
Mr. Ng Tuck Ming has turned the tables on using the 1998 Asian Financial Crisis as a pivot to relocate to Malaysia, thinking ahead that the country will become a major cocoa processing hub. The bold decision has made history for BENNS, as it pioneered freeze-dried fruit chocolates and has blazed the trail for the industry with the very first durian chocolate in Asia.
At present, BENNS Chocolate Factory continues to grow as one of Malaysia’s leading chocolate exporters. We have proudly become a top exporter internationally, with our products now reaching customers in seven countries.
We are humbled to receive numerous international recognition over the years, recognizing our commitment to producing quality chocolates. We remain focused on bringing Malaysian chocolates to the world while staying true to our values of quality, sustainability, and supporting local communities.
